On April 2, 2026, the Jean Monnet EU Centre of Excellence (KU GSIS) and the Ilmin International Relations Institute successfully convened a seminar featuring Prof. Marcin Piątkowski (Kozminski University).
The discussion centered on Poland’s unprecedented economic transformation since 1989. Prof. Piątkowski highlighted the "Central European Model", a framework defined by open borders, Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), and social egalitarianism, as a viable alternative to the traditional state-directed East Asian development model.
